ANNUAL FALL LEAF PICK-UP PROGRAM
Great Falls, Montana - The City of Great Falls Leaf Pickup Program is scheduled to begin on Friday, October 26, 2012 and continues through Friday, November 16, 2012.
For those residing within the Boulevard District, the Natural Resources Division will vacuum leaves from the Boulevards. The City Street Division will be sweeping streets in conjunction with the leaf pick-up.
Residents within the Boulevard District area are being requested to deposit leaves on the boulevard next to the curb and not in the street gutter. Please do not place leaf piles in the street gutter since rain and vehicles driving on the piles make it impossible to clean up the leaves. Branches, grass clippings, garden waste and other yard waste will not be picked up. Please arrange for pickup with your sanitation provider.
Streets and Avenues in each area will be cleaned on alternate days. Please remove vehicles from the street and avenue on the scheduled pick-up day to allow for vacuuming as well as street sweeping.
It is anticipated that the schedule may change due to weather conditions and residents are asked to watch the Great Falls Tribune for daily changes and updates. The schedule and updates will also be on the City of Great Falls website at www.greatfallsmt.net.
Attached is the 2012 Leaf Pick-up schedule for the Boulevard District. For further information, contact the Park and Recreation Department, Natural Resources Division at 771-1265.
