     Anaconda Hills Golf Course, located at 2400 Smelter Avenue in Black Eagle, will be hosting a Footgolf Tournament on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 2 p.m.   Individuals or teams of four can register for the tournament.     In recognition of National Pit Bull Awareness Month, the Great Falls Animal Shelter is offering free Bully Breed Training Sessions on Saturday, October 3. Two training sessions are being offered at F&L Pet Resort (2500 17th St. N.E.). Class size is limited to 25 dogs per class, so pre-registration is required. Don’t have a dog, but thinking about adopting a bully breed? Classes are also open to those who aren’t dog owners, but are interested in observing. Call 406-452-1068 to register.

    Great Falls Fire Rescue invites the community to a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony and Free Pancake Breakfast this Friday at Fire Station One (105 9th Street S) from 7:45-10 a.m. Residents are encouraged to join firefighters, police and emergency medical personnel to honor those who lost their lives on 9/11. During the event (7-8:45 a.m.), 1st Avenue South will be closed from 9th – 10th Street to accommodate the ceremony. Parking for those attending the event has been identified near the Fire Station, learn more here.

    The dog days of summer will soon be over, so treat your pooch to a dip in the pool at the Electric City Water Park.  Once a year, the Water Park provides the opportunity for community dogs to enjoy the pool.  “Drool in the Pool” will be Wednesday, September 9, 4:00-7:00 p.m.  The fee is $5.00 per animal.  All dogs are required to have proof of current vaccinations.  People are not allowed in the pool; pets only.
