    The Electric City Water Park and Spray Parks, opened Friday, June 8, but will be closed Saturday and possibly Sunday, due to inclement weather. Staff will be monitoring weather conditions over the next couple of days, and will determine whether the temperature is warm enough to open the park on a daily basis.

    The Electric City Water Park opens for the season today, Friday, June 8. The Water Park will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    The Water Park includes the Mitchell Pool, the wading pool and Little Squirts Soak Zone; the Power Tower Plunge and the Flow Rider where participants can boogie board, ride the lazy river and head down the riptide slide.

    Great Falls is hosting the 2012 Montana Senior Olympics, June 7-9. The games kickoff on Thursday with the official opening at Alive@5, 5:00-9:00 p.m. in Whittier Park, adjacent to the Civic Center. Plan to attend Alive@5 to give a warm welcome to the participating athletes.

As part of June’s Adopt-A-Cat Month promotion, new pet owners will have the option of taking home an adorable new playmate for one low-cost adoption fee.
