Using the Years Writing Class @ GFPL

Great Falls, Montana – The Great Falls Public Library is sponsoring a six-part writing series on Monday afternoons at the library September 9 – October 14.  The class will be held from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m.  The cost for the class is $20 and pre-registration is required.

Those interested in attending can pre-register at the library at the second floor Information Desk or by calling 453-0349.  Attendance will be capped at 10.

Freelance writer for the Great Falls Tribune Jenny Kunka will be teaching the class.  Her work has appeared in various publications and Montana magazines.  This is her sixth Using the Years class.

If you have stories you’d like to record, memories you’ve always planned to put down on paper, experiences you want to share, this class is for you.

Jenny will help students to focus and write snapshots from their lives.  There are no grammar or punctuation rules in this class, only the requirement that members listen to one another and respect the work of the other writers in the group.

Classes will include discussions on writing and issues inherent in writing about one’s own life and guided writing exercises and prompts.
